Hate is as American as apple pie - and ice cream!! The father’s sign says, “We the People”. As in ‘We the people of the United States of America…” which includes everyone. This is why separation of church and state is important. You can believe in any faith and it’s teachings, but you cannot rule the land and make laws by that faith. They are proud to be Americans, so they bring an American flag. They are proud to be Puerto Ricans, so they bring a Puerto Rican flag. I am proud to be gay, so I brought my rainbow flag.
